Hi there! I’m Monica, a writing-baking-cooking-entertaining-working mama who documents some of these things on this little blog, Nourish & Fete. I am an American living with my husband and toddler son in Brussels, Belgium. Cooking, baking, and entertaining are some of my favorite hobbies and ways to show love. Lucky for me, my husband, son, and co-workers are appreciative food consumers!
Do you ever wonder what made someone start blogging in the first place? I began this in early 2016, after having read several food and lifestyle blogs avidly for years. I have a lot of admiration for the community a good blog can create and how it can chronicle adventures, ideas, and information for the benefit of others. I can only hope to one day be a similar source of inspiration. You’ll find a bit of everything here, but the focus is on food and celebrations, which I hope will help you enjoy nourishing your loved ones as much as I enjoy nourishing mine.
In addition to spending time in the kitchen and planning parties, I enjoy running, reading, exploring the city, drinking wine, traveling, and just about anything I can do with my little guy. My hope is to share our adventures, help others find inspiration, have fun, and make friends along the way. I’m glad you’re here and hope you can stay awhile!
